Garmin GPSMap 62 – Tracks vs Routes
Quick tutorial on the difference between a track & route. A track or tracklog is a breadcrumb trail of your current activity on your GPS. This could be your day of hiking in a park. You can use the tracback feature on your garmin gpsmap 62 to navigate back using the same track if you are unable to follow the trail. You can also save the track for future use. Routes are a little different. Typically they contain less points than your trackfile. So in our example of hiking, we want to save only the trails we hiked to send to our friend or use at a later time. We can edit the track file in Basecamp, split a single track into 2 or more segments. From there we can save each track as a route. From here, we can save each new route under a new name and send it back to the GPS. From there, you can navigate the route by using the FIND | ROUTES menu and navigate just like a track. For simplicity, you could also further edit the route so that it only contains the single path and use the reverse route feature to navigate back. Useful for out & back trails.

Garmin Forerunner 205 305 vs 310 Quick Compare Review
Very quick compare review of the Foreruner 310 and the older 205/305. Other than the physical appearance, very few menu changes,so that old users can upgrade to the new unit with no problem. However, the 305 is still a good buy for those on a budget
Garmin GPS 610 Forerunner update review after using plus Connect Karvonen Method for HR
I have been using my Garmin GPS 610 Forerunner for a few weeks and I wanted to show you the Garmin Connect. So you get inside the door after doing a run, all you have to do is plug in the ANT agent USB key to your computer (that is switched on) and low and behold.... all your data is transferred automatically to Garmin Connect. Here is my Garmin Connect, i also cover off my Karvonen Heart Rate zone training that I have continued to use since 2008. It works for me as a recreational runner. I also calibrated my foot pod using GPS and then tested the distance and it was spot on to the markers measuring 500m and 1k marker. Well worth the money if you're dedicated to your sports. The watch is water proof to 1m under water but is not intended for swimming.
Garmin Forerunner 110 vs 405 /410 Compare Review
This is a quick compare review between a garmin forerunner 110 and a 405. Our local outfitter store, Trail Shop provided me with a demo unit and I ran with the unit for about 20 km which forms the basis of my review. I will use the 405 as the comparison. overall the device is small & sexy than the 405 and much more appealing as a wearable watch. The power save & power off feature means that you only need to charge the unit every 3 weeks. But with normal use, I seem to charge it every week. The display is nice and clean and provided the basic data fields: distance, timer, date, lap pace and heart rate. Features that this unit does not have: auto-scroll, auto-pause, courses, history management, interval training, advanced workouts, data fields customization, & navigation. While most of us don't use a majority of these features, it is a specific runner that will find the 110 the perfect unit for them. Personally, I liked the 110 and wished it included auto-scroll & auto-pause. However if you do a lot of custom workouts, this probably won't be the unit for you. But if you are a beginner or long distance runner with no interest in micro managing your runs, than this would fit in. Special thanks to Trail Shop for providing the GPS for review. Garmin GPS map 62s – How to Use Tracks
In this tutorial, I'll go over the steps required to find or follow a track file on your garmin map 62s. You would use this when you need to follow a existing track where no trail is marked. By following a track, it will allow you to stay on course and not get lost. This example, we had loaded up a GPX file from a website, detailing the hike, waypoints.
