Garmin Forerunner 205 305 vs 310 Quick Compare Review
Very quick compare review of the Foreruner 310 and the older 205/305. Other than the physical appearance, very few menu changes,so that old users can upgrade to the new unit with no problem. However, the 305 is still a good buy for those on a budget
Garmin GPS 610 Forerunner update review after using plus Connect Karvonen Method for HR
I have been using my Garmin GPS 610 Forerunner for a few weeks and I wanted to show you the Garmin Connect. So you get inside the door after doing a run, all you have to do is plug in the ANT agent USB key to your computer (that is switched on) and low and behold.... all your data is transferred automatically to Garmin Connect. Here is my Garmin Connect, i also cover off my Karvonen Heart Rate zone training that I have continued to use since 2008. It works for me as a recreational runner. I also calibrated my foot pod using GPS and then tested the distance and it was spot on to the markers measuring 500m and 1k marker. Well worth the money if you're dedicated to your sports. The watch is water proof to 1m under water but is not intended for swimming.
Garmin Forerunner 110 vs 405 /410 Compare Review
This is a quick compare review between a garmin forerunner 110 and a 405. Our local outfitter store, Trail Shop provided me with a demo unit and I ran with the unit for about 20 km which forms the basis of my review. I will use the 405 as the comparison. overall the device is small & sexy than the 405 and much more appealing as a wearable watch. The power save & power off feature means that you only need to charge the unit every 3 weeks. But with normal use, I seem to charge it every week. The display is nice and clean and provided the basic data fields: distance, timer, date, lap pace and heart rate. Features that this unit does not have: auto-scroll, auto-pause, courses, history management, interval training, advanced workouts, data fields customization, & navigation. While most of us don't use a majority of these features, it is a specific runner that will find the 110 the perfect unit for them. Personally, I liked the 110 and wished it included auto-scroll & auto-pause. However if you do a lot of custom workouts, this probably won't be the unit for you. But if you are a beginner or long distance runner with no interest in micro managing your runs, than this would fit in. Special thanks to Trail Shop for providing the GPS for review.
