Cred ca al nostru Kratos are permis de vizitare gratuita în străfundurile înflăcărate. Acesta le-a vizitat de ceva ori pana acum de la începutul jocului. Oricum jocul se înfășoară în jurul unei povesti greu credibile. Kratos e supărat pe ta-său, adică Zeus, pentru ca nu la luat de la grădiniță când era mic și nu ia spus niciodată poveste de adormit copii, și asa se decide sa îl detroneze pe acesta. Si tot încearcă asta de la al doilea joc încoace. Revenim la firul povestii. Kratos scapă, DINOU, din iad și pleacă chitit spre Olimp pentru ași pedepsi tatăl. În tot timpul acesta, el acumulează experiență, noi arme și titlul de cel mai egocentric personaj de joc creeat vreodată.
