I am in the market for a new GPS, and have narrowed my search down to 2 choices: the Garmin Nuvi 265WT, and the Garmin Nuvi 760. Both are similar in price (0 on Amazon), but the question is, which one will the best overall buy?

I do not care about mp3 playing or photo sharing, mainly just response times, POIs, and possibly bluetooth. I know both these have pretty much the same stats, I am just wondering, which to go for?

Or, side question, what other good models around this price range (online) are there?

Looking at getting a sat nav with europe mapping was thinking of
Garmin Nuvi 250 Sat Nav System
or
TomTom Western Europe Classic Sat Nav
any idear which works best and which is best for updates?

What is the difference between a "GPS Receiver" and a "GPS Navigation System"? For instance - the Magellan Maestro 3210 GPS product type description is "GPS Navigation System" and the Garmin Nuvi 250 GPS is "GPS Reciver". I am going to be purchasing a unit, so any explainations or assistance would be apprecitated.

Well I been doing a bit of research but i'm just so confused. So many good and bad feedbacks. I don't knoe if to get :

-TomTom One XL
-TomTom One 130
-Garmin Nuvi 200
-Garmin Nuvi 250

i'm trying to look for the most economical ones atleast under 0. I really just need the basics. I heard Text to Speech is very needed though. Do all gps show you where the nearest banks and restaurants are located?

I'm also wondering if there's anyway you can get direction in spanish.

One lasy question....Which one is better a TomTom or Garmin? or is there any others?

I am willing to pay a little extra for a GPS if the quality matches the price. Yesterday my purse got pick-pocketed for my Garmin nuvi 250. That unit worked great!

I have read the reviews on the Garmin nuvi 770 and saw that there were more issues than I would expect since it is a higher end unit. I want all the features of the 250 (does not have to be a Garmin) with real time traffic updates. The 250 had other features such as:

preloaded maps
points of interest
JPEG picture viewer
world travel clock with time zones
currency converter
measurement converter
calculator
Garmin Lock
configurable vehicle icons
Optional plug-in SD cards

So if anyone has any personal experiences or advice on the best automobile GPS unit to own then please share!

I'm think to buy a Garmin GPS system. I'm interested in nuvi 250 260 350 or maybe 650 . any big different on 250 260? and is 350 the only model that can play MP3? Any suggestion please? Thanks

i have a garmin nuvi 250 with regular sd card slot,but my sony psp camera use memory stick cards,all i find around micro sd to MS,i need regular sd card to insert the MS pro duo in it.

250, 200, 350? I'm leaning towards the 350.

I am looking to buy a GPS and have narrowed it down to two. I think. I've looked at both and decided that one doesn't have features that are better than the other. I tried to find user reviews on some sights but most don't have too many. So what I'm asking: Does a TomTom One XL work better overall than a Garmin Nuvi 255w?

If you have any suggestions of others I should look at, here's what I know I'm looking for:

Widescreen (I've seen normal screens in use and would prefer wide)

Easy-to-update data and maps, including additional POI's (I know Garmin has this but not sure about the TomTom)

Reliable satellite coverage and quick automatic relocating of route.

A max price of 0 (Around 0 would be great)

I like the Garmin Nuvi 300 and the Navman.

I would like someting with Bluetooth. What is suitable under £100? Heard Nuvi's are easy to read, set up and use. What is newer than the 300, 250 seems popular but are they older?

So, I became the owner of a slighty used garmin nuvi...but the the system and the cord..no box...how do I figure out WHICH nuvi I have? It just says garmin nuvi on the front and I googled but the 200, 250, 270 all look the same?!

it does speak road names and I think the 200 doesnt so Ive cut that one off the list

I'm looking at different GPS systems for my car. I would ideally like on with an internal battery as well as an additoinal car charger or at least the ability to buy this after. I also would prefer one that has a good mount of some sort.

Touch screen navigation is a must and ease of use and accuracy is important. I looked at the Garmin StreetPilot 330 and the Garmin Nuvi 250. They're both about 300-400 Cdn.

does anyone have experience using either and has opionions or does anyone have any other reccomendations /or suggestions

Also - if you can tell me about map updates - how often, how much money, how to upgrade, that would be fantastic.

I was researching deals on these two GPS's and found (thanks to www.thebargainspy.com) I can get the Garmin Nuvi 200W for about 3 after tax or the Navigon 5100 for 0 and this comes with lifetime traffic. Which one is a better deal? Opinions?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS. Everything seems to be normal with my GPS but the distance shown is incorrect. For instance, when I calculate a route that is supposed to be 400 km long, it shows me that my journey is only 250 km long. What is wrong with it?

Will I damage the battery on my garmin gps(nuvi 250) if i recharge it with an ac adapter before the battery is completely dead?
